About Me
The beginning
It all started with one stand at a local open-air farmer's market, back in July of 1999. From
then on this family business has flourished into a lucrative fundraising company serving
delicious fun food and helping thousands raise funds for their organizations. We are a
mobile food company that participates in cheer competitions, car shows, football games,
and farmers markets just to name a few. We have operated our restaurant at Raging
Waters theme park in San Dimas, for 10 seasons from 2002 to 2012. Throughout the years
Tropical Islands has become well known and continues to expand.
THE ORIGINATOR AKA THE HOT DOG LADY …
The women behind it all, the visionary and talented, Patricia Sanchez is who brought
something different to the farmers market. Making the bacon wrapped hot dog the staple
deliciousness that is still craved and ordered in high demand today. She focuses on serving
the best quality hot dogs and drinks in town. Over the years she has made the company a
reputable name setting up shop from San Diego to Santa Barbara. Her business strategies
and vision have kept us going strong for the last 20 years and she continues to bring new
deliciousness to the table.
